LATEST RINK NEWS
The Yakima Ice Rink and surrounding properties have been put up for sale. The Yakima Amateur Hockey Association believes that the Yakima Ice Rink is an important piece of our community and we would like to ask for your support. Please partner with us as we raise the necessary funds to buy the Yakima Ice Rink and to keep it operational in our community.

Since 2007, the Yakima Amateur Hockey Association has run the ice rink through a lease with its current owners. Over the past few years the association has worked very hard to grow programs and to save funds. Our numbers in all programs have taken off and it’s exciting to see the Ice Arena busier than it has been in many years. Almost every weekend is full of youth and adult hockey games. This year we have 115 kids registered in programs. Our adult hockey programs have also taken off as we currently run an adult league that includes 9 teams. In addition to hockey, we are also seeing growth in the figure skating program as well as a much increased attendance for our public sessions on Friday and Saturday nights. Last season we had over 3,100 people attend public sessions, this year looks to be even busier. It’s an exciting time at the Yakima Ice Rink!
Unfortunately, all of this growth will come to an end if we lose our ice rink. The ice rink that has served this community for so many years is now up for sale and the Yakima Amateur Hockey Association is asking for your support as we work to fundraise to purchase the Yakima Ice Rink. Our goal is to raise $550,000. Please consider partnering with us to help us raise these funds.
