LETS KEEP HOCKEY IN YAKIMA!
Due to the passing of the ice rink property owner, the Yakima Ice Rink and surrounding properties have been put up for sale. The Yakima Amateur Hockey Association (YAHA) believes that the Yakima Ice Rink is an important piece of our community and we would like to ask for your support. Our goal is to raise $550,000 to purchase the Yakima Ice Rink. After being notified of the sale last spring, we quickly began fundraising we were able to raise nearly $100,000 toward the purchase of the Yakima Ice Rink. Thank you so much for your support! Please partner with us as we continue to try to raise the necessary funds to buy the Yakima Ice Rink and to keep it operational in our community.
WHY SUPPORT YAHA
The Yakima Ice Rink has been the home to hockey players, figure skaters, and ice skaters in the Yakima valley since the 1960’s. Currently, we have over 120 kids and 100 adults registered in our programs. Throughout the season, thousands of people will attend our weekly public ice skating sessions. Without our rink in Yakima all of these programs would no longer exist.
The Yakima Ice Rink has deep roots in our community and continues to make an impact in many people’s lives. It is an important piece of our community and continues to play a vital role in the lives of those who still call it home today. Through your donation, the Yakima Amateur Hockey Association hopes to keep the Yakima Ice Rink and all of its programs operational in our community for years to come.
